I am over the moon excited about this.

Before I knew anything about photography, I wanted to know everything about photography. I did hours of internet research and scowered over the Master’s of Photography website, clicking, back clicking. My parents hated how long I spent on the computer, imagining their daughter in all the articles they read of chatrooms and pornograpy. I would lie, which to me was not a lie, “doing homework.” I wanted to have all the impressive information, I wanted my photo teacher to take me seriously. I wanted to take myself seriously. I wanted names and dates and chemicals to spill from me.
During this time of study I found a photo, among many I had looked over, that has never left me: Harry Callahan’s “Eleanor”. I used to want to repeat it, or in some way steal a bit of it’s fruit. I have not yet succeeded. I cannot say much of why this photo still makes its way into my dreams, for to explain it would be as to unveiling the mysteries of my own heart.
When I can produce a photo as honest as this one, I will be finally proud.
